Accessibility
Gurway is committed to making transportation accessible for everyone, regardless of ability or disability.
Our Commitment
Gurway Technologies Inc. is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We continually improve the user experience for everyone and apply relevant accessibility standards.
We aim for our website and mobile applications to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA. These guidelines explain how to make digital content more accessible to people with disabilities.
WCAG 2.1 AA Principles
Accessibility Features
Built into the Gurway app and website.
VoiceOver & TalkBack support
All interactive elements in the Gurway app are labelled for screen readers on both iOS and Android.
Dynamic text sizing
The app respects your device's text size settings so content scales to your preference.
High contrast mode
Gurway supports system-level high-contrast and dark modes on both mobile platforms.
Reduced motion
Animations are suppressed when the "Reduce Motion" accessibility setting is enabled on your device.
Keyboard navigation
Our website is fully navigable by keyboard. Focus indicators are visible at all times.
Accessible driver matching
Riders can request vehicles with wheelchair access or other accessibility requirements during booking.
Known Limitations
Despite our best efforts, some content may not yet meet WCAG 2.1 AA in all areas. We are actively working to address the following:
- Some older PDFs (e.g. receipts) may not be fully screen-reader compatible — we are migrating to HTML-based receipts in Q3 2026.
- Live map components have limited screen-reader support; text-based route summaries are provided as an alternative.
Report an accessibility issue
If you experience an accessibility barrier on our website or app, please let us know. We will acknowledge your message within 2 business days and aim to resolve it within 30 days.
